2011 Hot Wheels '49 Drag Merc Blue Walmart Exclusive 122/244 V0007 New
Bring classic Mercury styling to the drag strip with the 2011 Hot Wheels ’49 Drag Merc V0007, Collector #122/244 and #2/10 from the HW Drag Racers series.
 
This Walmart-exclusive variation features a striking Metalflake Blue finish with white, blue, orange and yellow flame graphics and the distinctive “Phil’s Burner” decoration along the sides. Yellow-tinted windows, chrome interior and classic 5-Spoke wheels complete its aggressive drag-racing appearance.
 
The ’49 Drag Merc represents a heavily modified 1949 Mercury Eight Pro Mod drag racer, complete with an oversized racing engine, side exhausts, rear spoiler and the original-era folding wheelie bar. The casting was designed by Phil Riehlman and first appeared as a Hot Wheels New Model in 2010.
Brand new and unopened in original Hot Wheels packaging.
 
Collector's Notes
There were three notable 2011 HW Drag Racers versions of the ’49 Drag Merc:
T9829 – Metallic Orange – Standard Release
V0007 – Metalflake Blue – Walmart Exclusive
V5209 – Black – Kmart Exclusive
 
All three are Collector #122/244 and HW Drag Racers 2/10, but V0007 is specifically documented as the Walmart-exclusive blue variation.
 
Another nice feature is the original fold-out wheelie bar. Collector references note that this casting originally had a functional folding wheelie bar; the tooling was later revised so the wheelie bar became part of the base.
