This licensed Honda casting features a yellow body with contrasting black accents across the hood and roof, Honda badging, “85” and “CR-X” graphics, Hot Wheels logos, Japanese kanji, and red, orange, gray, and black racing-inspired side graphics.
 
The black PR5 wheels, smoke-tinted windows, black interior, and black base complete the aggressive vintage JDM appearance.
 
This release is #89 of 250 in the 2026 Hot Wheels Mainline collection and #4 of 10 in the HW J-Imports series. Mattel product number JJJ51.

Collector’s Notes
The Hot Wheels 1985 Honda CR-X was designed by legendary Hot Wheels designer Ryu Asada and originally debuted in the 2012 Hot Ones series.
 
The casting depicts a modified CR-X with a rear mid-engine conversion, giving it a more aggressive appearance than the standard production vehicle.
 
This yellow JJJ51 version is also complemented by a 2026 ZAMAC Walmart-exclusive variation, JJM40, giving Honda collectors another version of #89/250 to pursue.
 
The combination of the classic Honda CR-X name, yellow-and-black color scheme, J-Imports branding, and detailed Japanese graphics gives this release particularly good appeal among JDM collectors.
