The Mercedes-Benz 500 E is one of the most celebrated performance sedans of the 1990s.
Based on the W124 platform, the 500 E was developed with assistance from Porsche to accommodate Mercedes-Benz's powerful 5.0-liter M119 V8. Production involved both Mercedes-Benz and Porsche facilities, creating one of the most unusual collaborations between the two German manufacturers.
