2024 Hot Wheels HW Braille Racer Twin Mill Celebration Racers 1/10 #27/250 HRY95
This is a version of the Twin Mill featuring braille dots all over the body and base. This casting was created in partnership with the National Federation of the Blind and features Braille text on the blister reading "HOT WHEELS TWIN MILL".
Braille text on the two sides read "Twin" and "Mill" respectively. The rear of the body reads "#68". The base of the casting simply reads Twin Mill, with Braille text translating to "Hot Wheels" on the base. The casting was officially announced under the generic name of Braille Twin Mill.
🏁 Collector's Notes
The HW Braille Racer – Twin Mill casting was introduced in 2023 and designed by Fraser Campbell. It was developed through a collaboration between Mattel/Hot Wheels and the National Federation of the Blind.
The design isn't simply decorative. Braille dots are integrated into the actual vehicle: “Twin” and “Mill” appear in Braille on opposite sides, while the base contains Braille representing “Hot Wheels.” The blister packaging also incorporates Braille.
For 2024, HRY95 appeared as #27/250 and #1/10 in HW Celebration Racers, specifically commemorating World Braille Day 2024.
That story is the strongest selling point here. This isn't a rare high-dollar mainline, but it has far more meaning and history behind it than the average fantasy casting.
