The Dodge Viper RT/10 has a long history in the Hot Wheels lineup, with versions of the original casting dating back to the early 1990s.
For 2023, the classic RT/10 casting appeared as #131/250 and #7/10 in the HW Roadsters series. Two primary colors were released: Yellow and this eye-catching Metalflake Purple HKK11 variation.
The purple release features silver stripes across the hood, trunk and sides, along with Viper Fangs, “VIPER RT/10,” Dodge and Hot Wheels graphics.
An interesting collector detail is that 2023 was also the year Hot Wheels introduced a completely redesigned ’92 Dodge Viper RT/10 casting with updated proportions and detailing. For a period, the older Viper RT/10 represented by this HKK11 release and the new ’92 casting appeared alongside one another in the Hot Wheels lineup.
That makes 2023 an interesting transitional year for Hot Wheels Viper collectors and gives enthusiasts a reason to display the two different interpretations side by side.
