2022 Hot Wheels Wheelie Chair Green HW Daredevils 2/5 96/250 HCV38
Add one of Hot Wheels’ most unique extreme-sports castings to your collection with the 2022 Hot Wheels Wheelie Chair, finished in green and released as part of the HW Daredevils series.
 
The Wheelie Chair was inspired by adaptive extreme-sports athlete Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham and his stunt wheelchair. Hot Wheels designer Alvin Chancreated the casting to capture the appearance and stunt-oriented design of Aaron’s chair.
 
The green HCV38 version features orange striping with HWFX-themed graphics, a dark gray seat area, black base, and distinctive mixed front/rear Open-Hole 5-Spoke wheels. The design is also sized so compatible mini figures can interact with the casting.
 
This release is #96 of 250 in the 2022 Hot Wheels Mainline and #2 of 5 in the HW Daredevils series. Mattel product number HCV38.
 
Unlike a traditional fantasy car, the Wheelie Chair has a real adaptive-sports connection, giving it an unusual story and a niche collector audience.

Collector’s Notes
The Wheelie Chair casting was designed by Alvin Chan and originally debuted in 2019 as part of the HW Ride-Ons series.
Its design was inspired by Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham, known for performing wheelchair motocross and extreme wheelchair tricks.
For 2022, the Wheelie Chair returned in HW Daredevils with two #96/250 variations:
HCV38 – Green
HCX08 – Indigo / Purple
Both occupy the HW Daredevils 2/5 position.
The Aaron Fotheringham connection gives HCV38 a more meaningful backstory than many fantasy castings, although current collector-market value remains modest.
