Add classic American pickup-truck styling with a racing twist to your collection with the 2022 Hot Wheels ’63 Studebaker Champ, finished in glossy black and released as part of the HW Hot Trucks series.
 
Designed by Phil Riehlman, the Hot Wheels ’63 Studebaker Champ casting represents a lowered, race-inspired version of Studebaker’s early-1960s light-duty pickup. The casting originally debuted in the 2011 New Models series.
 
The glossy black body features a black-and-white checkered design over the hood, red and gold side stripes, #63 graphics, Hurst Shifters branding, and Studebaker logos. Black 5-spoke wheels with chrome rims, a red interior, clear windows, and a black plastic base complete the look.
 
This release is #93 of 250 in the 2022 Hot Wheels Mainline and #5 of 10 in the HW Hot Trucks series. Mattel product number HCT51, originally appearing in 2022 D Case.
 
An important collector connection is that HCT51 is the regular mainline companion to the 2022 Super Treasure Hunt HCY14, which uses Spectraflame black paint and Real Rider wheels.

Collector’s Notes
The ’63 Studebaker Champ casting debuted in 2011 and was designed by Phil Riehlman. For 2022, Mattel updated the tooling, including changing how the rear wing/tonneau area was constructed.
Collectors could find two closely related #93/250 versions in 2022:
HCT51 – Glossy Black – Regular Mainline
HCY14 – Spectraflame Black – Super Treasure Hunt
Both belong to HW Hot Trucks 5/10, making the regular HCT51 a natural companion for collectors who like displaying the standard and Super Treasure Hunt versions together.
