Finished in a bright construction yellow color scheme, this highly detailed 1:64 scale diecast construction vehicle features realistic backhoe styling, movable digging equipment, and authentic Matchbox detailing. Perfect for construction equipment enthusiasts, Matchbox collectors, and kids alike, this unopened model brings real-world utility vehicles to life in miniature. The MBX Backhoe was designed by Abe Lugo and debuted in the Matchbox lineup in 2019.
 
Collector's Note
The MBX Backhoe has become one of Matchbox's most popular construction castings thanks to its realistic proportions and functional moving parts. The 2021 yellow MBX Metro edition (#68/100) is especially appealing to collectors of construction equipment and utility vehicles. Designed by Abe Lugo, the casting continues to be featured in the Matchbox lineup due to its popularity. Factory-sealed examples typically sell in the $3–8 range, while mint cards may command slightly higher prices.
