2021 Hot Wheels Fire-Eater Yellow HW Rescue 9/10 246/250 GTB15
Add one of Hot Wheels’ longest-running original emergency vehicles to your collection with the 2021 Hot Wheels Fire-Eater, finished in bright yellow and released as part of the HW Rescue series.

The Fire-Eater is a classic Hot Wheels fire-truck design inspired by American cab-over-engine fire apparatus of the 1970s. Originally designed by legendary Hot Wheels designer Larry Wood, the casting has been part of the Hot Wheels family since 1977.

This 2021 variation features a bright yellow body with red striping and “21” graphics on the sides, black interior, red-tinted windows, yellow-rimmed DD8 wheels, and an unpainted metal base.

The 2021 release also introduced an updated tooling configuration, including a redesigned front fascia integrated into the base.

This release is #246 of 250 in the 2021 Hot Wheels Mainline and #9 of 10 in the HW Rescue series. Mattel product number GTB15, released in Q Case.

The car is New in package: See pictures for quality and variations. The card may have some shelf wear on corner and edge.

Collector’s Notes
The Fire-Eater was designed by Larry Wood and originally debuted in 1977, making it one of Hot Wheels’ longest-running original castings.

The 2021 GTB15 release is notable because Mattel revised the tooling that year. Later versions use a redesigned front fascia and plastic body construction over a metal base.

GTB15 is the only 2021 Fire-Eater variation documented in the mainline and occupies the HW Rescue 9/10 position immediately before the 2021 Lamborghini Countach Police Car Treasure Hunt.

The casting has historical Hot Wheels significance, but this particular 2021 variation currently has limited verified secondary-market activity.
