2021 Hot Wheels Ain’t Fare Orange HW Metro 9/10 155/250 GTB64 New Model
Add one of Hot Wheels’ most unusual urban-themed original designs to your collection with the 2021 Hot Wheels Ain’t Fare, finished in orange and released as part of the HW Metro series.
 
Designed by the late Ryu Asada, Ain’t Fare is a heavily customized lowrider-style metropolitan transit bus featuring an exaggerated lowered stance, passenger bucket seats, drag-inspired styling, and twin-engine detailing. The casting debuted as a New Model for 2021.
 
The orange body features “HW METRO RAPID ROUTES” and “BUS 52” graphics, chrome interior, smoke-tinted windows, a black plastic base, and orange-chrome 5-spoke wheels.
 
This release is #155 of 250 in the 2021 Hot Wheels Mainline and #9 of 10 in the HW Metro series. Mattel product number GTB64. GTB64 is the second-color orange variation from the casting’s debut year, following the original Metalflake Green GRX52 version.

Collector’s Notes
Ain’t Fare was designed by Ryu Asada and debuted in 2021. Its name is a play on the phrase “ain’t fair,” while its concept imagines a metropolitan bus transformed into an extreme Hot Wheels lowrider.
Two 2021 debut-year versions were produced:
GRX52 – Metalflake Green
GTB64 – Orange
Both carry collector number 155/250 and HW Metro 9/10.
The casting continued into later years and eventually became a 2024 Treasure Hunt, which gives the original 2021 debut-year versions a little extra casting-history interest.
