Collector’s Notes
The 1987 Dodge D100 represents the final generation of the classic Dodge D-Series pickup trucks, a vehicle family that established a lasting reputation among American truck enthusiasts.
Although Dodge transitioned to the Ram name during the 1980s, these trucks retained much of the familiar D-Series styling.
Hot Wheels introduced its customized '87 Dodge D100 casting in 2018, designed by Brendon Vetuskey.
The casting depicts a heavily modified pickup with off-road racing equipment, larger wheels, and an aggressive competition-inspired stance.
For 2021, Mattel released this distinctive matte-blue variation as part of the HW Race Team collection.
Its traditional blue racing color, orange-and-white stripes, and oversized Hot Wheels logos make it especially recognizable among collectors who enjoy Hot Wheels-sponsored racing designs.
