The Mazda RX-3 GHD17 has an interesting place in Hot Wheels history.
The Mazda RX-3 casting originally appeared in 2016 as part of the premium Car Culture: Japan Historics series, followed by additional premium releases in Race Day, Japan Historics 2 and Fast & Furious.
The 2020 GHD17 release marked the casting's first appearance in the standard Hot Wheels mainline, where it became #243/250 and #8/10 in the Nightburnerz series.
Its Metalflake Dark Green finish is complemented by black and gold racing stripes, racing number 3, and recognizable GReddy and Brembo performance graphics.
For JDM collectors, this is an especially interesting release because it brought a previously premium-only Mazda casting into the affordable mainline while retaining a detailed tuner-inspired racing livery.
